Talk about timeless fashion! The iconic Queen’s distinguished taste is proving to be all the rage for Pre-Fall 2013, as Mr. Lagerfeld sent some lavished ladies down the runway at the Chanel with runway show. Here’s some undeiably Elizabethan inspired looks we’re digging! You into it?
From geometric patterns at Chris Benz to exuberant wildflowers at Brood, bold prints are making a statement for Spring 2013. The Carpetbagger’s always a fan of going with prints; considering it’s steering clear of (our greatest fear) be anything close to boring! Here’s a run through of the most noteworthy printed collections. Our favorites are Duro Olowu, Louise Gray, Etro, and Tsumori Chisato!

Chloé, Chloé, Chloé… one of the last collections we’ve been anxiously awaiting all month long! The unveiling of the fashion house’s collection for Spring/Summer 2013 is a dream! Designer Clare Waight Keller has only been with creative force behind Chloé for a few short seasons now, but has certainly proven she knows just what she’s doing.
Here’s a few favorites from the collection (check out all 38 looks here!) The overall vibe could best be described as loosely structured whimsy, classic Chloé. Each piece is totally gorgeous and feminine, but certainly not overtly girly. The textured pieces in particular had our attention from the get-go. The flower-appliquéd pants in the first row? Freaking amazing! And the top heavy silhouettes are just great fun and quirky to boot!
Alright people, so fashion week is still happening in Paris(still awaiting the almighty Stella McCartney, Celine, Chloe, Miu Miu, to name a few), so it maybe a tad soon to start talking about the defining trends we can expect for Spring/Summer 2013. With that said, there are some defining trends brewing, so why not take a look, eh?
Today’s trend is SHEER!
Don’t ask me how, because I have no fucking clue. And naturally, my phone was dead from already snapping my morning away in pics, so the only photographic evidence I have is this semi grainy one I only received from the sweetest gal seated next to me to who kindly sent me the image after giving her my card.
But somehow, someway, my lucky ass ended up front row at the Reem Acra Spring runway show. A mere 3 hours ago, to be exact! The carpetbagger is exhausted! but stay tuned, because LOTS more fun details and pics to come!!
Simple, but girly and colorful, is how I would describe Ostwald Helgason’s latest collection. One part quirky, two parts preppy, the design duo (Susanne Ostwald and Ingvar Helgason) behind the label bring us a look that is fun and fresh!
Fashion Week in NYC is a bitch, when you have to rely on the subway!
