I am dying over the beauty of Diane Kruger in this masterpiece!
Well here you have it for the newest Jil Sander ad Spring 2012 ad campaign.
Huffington Post, among other publications have admitted to be slightly frightened by the new ads, but I’ve never been one to shy away from a little creepy infused fashion. It stirs more emotions in the viewer, and like they say-no press is bad press. Photographed by Willy Vanerperre, model Natasha Poly brought on the spook factor to the campaign (same duo worked together for the Proenza Schouler ads). ALAUU claims it gives her “an eery Hitchcock vibe,” quite a complement in my book! (I’m a huge Hitchcock fan) The ads do give off a cinematic vibe that I’m totally digging. Some critics are saying it seems reminiscent of the Jil Sand ad campaign from 2000…
In terms of the overall styling I feel more innovation from the decade old campaign. When it comes to the actual clothing itself (most important feature in a campaign?) the current ad absolutely speaks to me more, though that’s most likely do to changes in trends over time.
Shot by Steven Meisel, Kati Nescher, Meghan Collison, Natasha Poly, Elise Crombez, Ymre Stiekema and Katryn Kruger are the lucky lasses all dolled up in Prada’s latest campaign.
“The gas station is cast as a central symbol in this post-modern crossroads of new horizons and economic fulfillment, a stage set where fashion, fantasy and the promise of new discoveries collide.” As usual, well done Miuccia.
