I had a feeling they were on their way back, and from the looks of Pre-Fall 2012, I can definitely say (with some enthusiasm!) that peplums are having a moment.
Leather AND Peplum? Yes Please!
The brave Peplum has been around since the Greeks starting dressing themselves instead of running around naked, but mid-century, we saw a sure rebirth of the flounced strip of fabric attached at the waistline which adds a little sass to any outfit.

Thanks to Christian Dior and his support in “The New Deal,” the Peplum found a sure place in American Fashion in 1947.
Fashion forward ladies as well as some well styled celebrities have been spotted sporting a Peplum, everywhere from the streets to the red carpet.
